Hello, welcome.
I'm Amy Simpson,
Bendigo Naturopath
I’m a degree-qualified clinical naturopath based in Bendigo, offering in-clinic care at Bloom Natural Health and telehealth consultations Australia-wide. My work centres on women’s health and modern motherhood, with care grounded in female physiology, life-stage awareness, and evidence-based practice.
I support women who are navigating ongoing or complex symptoms such as fatigue, hormonal or menstrual changes, digestive issues, mood shifts, PMDD, ADHD, endometriosis, PCOS, pregnancy and menopause, especially when things don’t feel “normal” but answers have been hard to find.
My approach combines naturopathic medicine, nutrition and lifestyle care to understand underlying drivers rather than chasing symptoms in isolation. I work thoughtfully and collaboratively, helping women rebuild the foundations that support long-term health and resilience, including nervous system regulation, nourishment, sleep and sustainable daily rhythms.

HOW I PRACTICE NATUROPATHY
Evidence-based, whole-body Naturopathy
You don’t need to wait until symptoms become overwhelming to seek support. Many women live with fatigue, hormonal changes, digestive issues or mood shifts for years before real answers are offered.
My approach to naturopathy focuses on understanding why symptoms are occurring and addressing underlying drivers early, rather than managing each issue in isolation.
I practice evidence-based, whole-body naturopathy that considers how systems interact across the body, including hormones, digestion, nutrient status, nervous system regulation and lifestyle context. Care is informed by current research, clinical experience and the realities of modern life, especially for women navigating changing life stages.
My work integrates naturopathic medicine, nutrition and lifestyle support to create personalised, practical plans that meet you where you are. Treatment plans are adapted to your symptoms, goals, and health history.
Where appropriate, I work alongside GPs and other healthcare providers to ensure care is collaborative and safe. The aim is to support long-term resilience, recovery and wellbeing in a way that feels realistic, informed and sustainable.
I place a strong emphasis on education and shared decision-making, so you understand not only what we’re doing, but why.
My role is to support you with clear explanations, evidence-informed recommendations and practical guidance, helping you feel confident and informed as you navigate your health.

My Qualifications
I hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) from Torrens University and am currently undertaking a Master of Advanced Naturopathy at Southern Cross University.
I am a full member of the Naturopaths and Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA) and maintain 30+ hours of ongoing professional development requirements each year to ensure my clinical knowledge remains current, ethical, and evidence-informed.
My continuing professional education focus including women’s hormonal health, menstrual and mood disorders, PMDD, ADHD across the lifespan, perinatal care, gut health and nutritional biochemistry. I have presented at the NHAA national conference, on the neurobiology of motherhood and the physiological changes that occur across matrescence.
I also hold a Master of Education from La Trobe University, which informs the way I communicate complex health information clearly and support clients through informed, collaborative decision-making.
My Approach
My approach begins with taking the time to understand your health concerns in context, including your symptoms, history, lifestyle and current capacity. Rather than addressing symptoms in isolation, I look for underlying patterns and contributing factors so care can be both meaningful and sustainable.
I prioritise rebuilding the foundational pillars of health first, such as sleep, nutrition, nervous system regulation, movement and environmental influences. These foundations create the conditions needed for the body to respond well to more targeted interventions, and they are often where the most significant and lasting changes begin.
From there, care is individualised and evidence-informed, using appropriate nutritional, lifestyle and naturopathic strategies to support your goals. Throughout the process, we work collaboratively, with clear explanations and shared decision-making, so you feel informed, supported and confident in the direction of your care.
